UAAP 70 team standings (as of 082707)
UE 11-0 FEU 5-5
DLSU 8-3 NU 4-6
UST 6-4 ADU 1-9
ADMU 5-4 UP 0-9
The Warriors are unstoppable as they add another win in their bid for the championship defeating the Falcons 73-56. I think it’s safe to say that we’ll be seeing the UE in the final four with the twice to beat advantage.
Meanwhile, UST routs NU 84-72. The Tigers and the Archers shows to be contenders to the final four slots, with both teams aiming to get the second place also with the twice to beat advantage.
Trailing closely behind are the Eagles, who will face the Tigers Thursday, and the Tamaraws up against the winless Maroons, also on the same day.

PEEPS,
I AM STILL OPTIMISTIC ABOUT THE TIGERS CHANCES. THEY ARE WELL IN TRACK FOR ANOTHER CROWN. A BACK TO BACK MAYBE??? REMEMBER WHEN THEY FELL DEEP IN THE STANDINGS LAST YEAR WHILE ATENEO WAS LORDING IT OUT OVER THE STANDINGS? THE SAME CAN HAPPEN TO UE. THERE’S NO WAY TO GO BUT DOWN FOR UE, AS FOR UST DO NOT EVER UNDERESTIMATE THE HEART OF A CHAMPION. AND BESIDES UST WILL DEFINITELY HAVE THE MVP (CRUZ) AND ROOKIE OF THE YEAR (MIRZA). GO USTE!! BACK TO BACK!
The standing in the Elimination round will not be gauge on who will win the title.
Teams that will be consistent during the Final Four and the Finals will surely win the title despite qualifying last in the Final Four. So if UE will maintain their consistency and momentum through the the title to be awarded to them.
Okay site mo ah. A Tamaraw here!!
mr. mondp is right. ofcourse standings dont always say who’s to win anything but my money’s on ust. everybody was so excited about the archer-eagle rivalry to set the league on fire but these days, that itself has become nothing but a feud that they can keep just for themselves and it wouldnt make any difference at all to the rest of the league.
UE is definetly the big dog but again anything could happen on the way to the finals. the way i see it, although the tigers have their championship on the line, thus having everything to lose, a lot of players in their roster are young and have enough balls to go up against anybody head on. That or they’re just too young and dumb to realize the magnitude of what they’re getting themselves into. but that really doesnt matter anyway the end justifies everything.
the tigers lost today….it’s quite devastating because all throughout the game against the blue eagles, they were in the lead…as always, jervy cruz remained humble despite the double digit figures in this game..anthony espiritu, khasim mirza also played a nice game today..the blue eagles won with just one point…darn!!!i really don’t want the eagles to make it to the final four..i hope ust still makes it and also for the tamaraws…
but ironically, i’m an atenista…lol…
which teams beat dlsu? warriors, blue eagles… and?
KEEP THE FAITH! animo la salle!
karen i doubt that you’re an atenean. ateneans never use atenean or atenista in a taglish manner. so it’s just either “i’m an atenean” or “atenista ako.”
Go,go Ateneo, you can make it to the final four, kip the spirit fighting, soar high eagles!!!
UE Warriors Rule!
